February 25, 2008 09:15 PMwell duh!Oh man. Where to start. Went to Tahoe for the weekend. Yes I looked like a dork but damn it was fun in the snow. ... Until we tried to get home. There was the winter storm advisory and the fear of impassable or closed roads. Then there was the extra night at the condo. Then there was the nail in the flat tire, the breaking the car with the shitty jack, AAA guy breaking his own tool to patch the tire, the road being closed due to fire, and all this on top of vague interpersonal tension amongst good pals. Good christ, I'm going to bed. February 18, 2008 05:43 PMImpressive credit card spam(backstory: i just applied for a very specific AMEX card) Today, in the exact same set of mail, I received: 1) A new Citibank American Airlines American Express credit card. 2) A solicitation for me to apply for a new Citibank American Airlines American Express credit card. ?!@?! February 17, 2008 05:53 PMTrashy Movie ReviewsJumper: First bit is awesome. Whole movie blows chunks. Hayden can't act for shit. Step Up 2 The Streets: Unfuckingbelievably amazingly good. I know you don't believe me so I won't try to convince you, but you just have to trust me that if you like the idea of amazingly choreographed dance moves with awesome kids, and a laughable plot, it is just perfect. February 11, 2008 09:42 PMgarage?anyone know of a garage for rent within a few block radius of dolores & 20th? I just lost mine. doh. February 10, 2008 01:32 AMA deep dark pitSometimes, the right rope to grab on to is just not that complicated. February 05, 2008 07:12 PMSometimes I fucking hate this townI'm sorry, i'm exhausted, and I'm going to say some unkind things here. I just drove home after a 10 hour day of phone banking for Obama. I think he's and awesome candidate, and I really honestly have hope and believe that he's the guy to repair the damage done by Bush both domestically and internationally. I'm a little self-righteous, having taken an unpaid day off of work (yes, that costs me real hard cash) to do the thing that i believe it. I've got only a small chip on my shoulder, since I ain't done much up until now, but its there. I acknowledge it. SO. I drive home down Market Street, and there's a huge throng of people outside of Obama campaign HQ, and I get all excited about the shared experience and the fun togetherness of people who REALLY support their candidate (so different than Kerry where people just opposed Bush), and just good stuff, right? Nope. There's cops and there's a motherfucking protest happening with some total lefties who are proclaiming that "the people" are going to get the troops out of Iraq, not Obama. That "the people" are going to save the country, not Obama. That "the people" are going to make change. Wake up and smell the goddamned dog food, you ignorant, idealistic asshats! Actions have repercussions, and look at where we've been the last 8 years. We live IN A SYSTEM. You may not like it, but the system forces compromises in order to get consensus, and NEVER in your or my lives has there been a candidate that SO closely reflects San Francisco politics. No, he's not perfect, but you're really going to protest in front of the office of the first candidate to start to actually reflect the ethnic and racial makeup of the country?! Really?? Are you fucking kidding me?!? Get real. February 01, 2008 10:56 PM |
