wind up birds

And now I go to brunch, wearing a teeshirt from the local design collective "my windup bird" where I plan to read "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle."

weird.

Instead of office chair, package contained bobcat.

Would not buy again.

Productive

Damn, this was a seriously productive day, even though it didn't seem like much.
I guess there's nothing quite like avoidance to keep you focused. Or maybe I'm just not hung over, for once. Today I:

* Did the dishes
* Cleaned the litterbox
* cut my nails
* Did a freakton of work
* Made dinner
* Cleaned my desk
* Filed a ton of papers
* Paid my taxes
* Petted the cats

Man, my life is mundane when I put it that way. That doesn't seem so bad

Parents come for a visit this weekend.

Here I Am

Here I am. Its how I keep describing myself. I don't know much of what I'm doing in life, or what's going on, but I just keep on plodding forward. I don't know if it is detachment, or the first time I've been truly present in my life. Hard to know.

This weekend, I distracted myself yet again. I went to see Dan Deacon & Girl Talk at the Fillmore with J & Alex, and besides that one night, it might have been the best concert/dj thing I've seen. Definitely in the top five, if I were to make such a list, which of course, now I'm doing in my head.

Anyways:
