Hippie Wedding

Hi! This past weekend, elly & I went to an amazing wedding for some wonderful friends of ours. I'm sure they're not hippies, but to those of you outside of SF, there's no question that they are ;). It was held up North in Willits, at a site held near and dear to the community. The ceremony was beautiful as we all sat on the lawn, some under trees, some in the sun and grass. Rocky & Leah's vows were perfect for each other, and having so many nice people to share the time with them was even better.

elly brought hoops, and they brought great joy to many people! It was so much fun! Everyone hooped!! Someone got so much joy that they took a hoop home! Yay! As night progressed, there was dancing, lots of great beats, wood fired hottubs under the moon, beautiful ambient light shows, camping near friends, tasty food from Jennifer Lynch, breakfast by Da, and just a generally great time.

Oh, and by the way, ELLY CAUGHT THE BOUQUET. *cough* *ahem*. :)

On to our regularily scheduled photos (full set in days):

The rays of sunlight touched the bride & groom as their entourage carried them away to quiet.

elly, xep, elise with elly's three homemade hoops, having fun!

elly & I, gussied up at our tent. elly got me a new hat!!

Hooping elly, just off the Cigarette Boat in Miami. I'm sure Don Johnson is around somewhere! (elly got some awesome sunglasses).

The nice people that fed us!

James Home, in action. The man of mystery, energy, and passion returns for the next episode...

There were so many cute kids hooping as the LEDs lit up.

dreams

I love waking up early in the morning and then falling back asleep for a few hours. The dreams are the best.

I dreamt that elly and I were together somewhere, it wasn't specific, but felt all encompassing, like saying "we were on Earth." She had some amazing spirit inside of her, but kept saying "I don't want it anymore." Somehow she managed to make it come rushing out, it appeared as this clean beautiful blue cylinder of light piercing the two dimensional sky which seemed like wavy lines of pink. It was more like a ceiling, solid at the top. As it reached the sky, I realised that it had a skull at the top of it, which was really creepy, but somehow not surprising, or really frightening. We both understood that the act of the spirit leaving elly meant that the world was now filled with compassion, and elly fell to her knees in the cold water of a Pacific Northwest beach. She had on some sort of brown mary janes, and these sweater-like grey legwarmers (upon awakening, I remember that she actually owns said leg warmers). I don't remember any of the rest of her, except that she was drained, exhausted, and crying. I held her, and somehow we knew it was ok to go to Starbucks.

...

In other news, I took a job about two weeks ago, and it's working out pretty well. It's the hardest that I've ever worked. The hours are intense and the work is actually non-stop. It's go-go-go from the moment I step in the door until the moment that I force myself to leave. I can't really believe it. I sat with Gene yesterday, and he said "how are you getting through this, drugs?" I laughed, and professed that all I needed was a strong cup of coffee. (then promptly fell asleep)

It feels good to be working again; I think a slightly less agressive schedule might be better for me, but I'll take my lumps as I get them. I feel lots less pent up about money, and can be generous in the ways that I prefer, again. It's such a strange mental state to be running out of money, but everythign around you seems just fine. Good timing on the job. Thanks, Universe.
