Good StuffDear Diary- Ahh, my fickle mistress has done it to me again. San Francisco has put out in all the best of ways. After ditching work early on Friday afternoon to get a new toy, i lounged in the calm summer night at a BBQ w/ Stephen & possee, drinking cheap beer and enjoying being outdoors. Saturday consisted of being really hot, drinking lots of iced espresso, two fisiting it with Lillet, helping dad with tech support (success at last!) and fetching nice plants for elly. Since it was a blisteringly hot summer day, we got Tuggy and did the only logical thing, we went to a movie! Nice summer air conditioning and Clerks II. Fun stuff. Brian & I then had a beer at Molotovs, got some indian food, and then watched this amazing Atom Egoyan film at his house. friends are great. Sunday was also bloody hot. After frustratingly playing with said new toy, I decided to get Boogaloo's and eat it at Ritual, which turned out great since there were water guns, fan assembly and general mission experiences to be had. At some point, we hatched a plan, and before I knew it, elly, Eileen, Davel, Kristen, Ian & I were all jammed into the biodieseldunnymobile headed to Baker Beach. Ian's parking karma totally saved the day, and we waltzed out onto the beach with pink champagne, crackers, dolmas, peaches, ginger snaps and caesar salads. I dashed into the ocean at two points. At one point, I actually experienced shock from the depth & extent of the freezing cold Pacific. Much lazing about was to be had, but the best thing was just being with friends. I like people. There was then a bunch of happy chauffeurring about, some takeout Thai food from Bangkok 16, and lots of coziness. elly & I rented Narnia, which was more overtly religious than I even could have imagined, but still sweet and made me very happy to remember those childhood moments of reading the books. And to top it all off, after finding a good parking spot at 1 in the morning, I just passed the open window of a happily snoring person. I hope you're sleeping great pal!! Good night San Francisco! |
