totally surprised

I had a surprise 30th birthday party, in was a blast, and I was totally suckered/suprised. I mean, it was the classic setup. elly told me over & over that nothing was going on, she took me to a really nice romantic dinner at the best vegetarian restaurant in San Francisco. We then suddenly had to get home, for a plausable reason, and behold, candles and people to shout surprise!

Thanks. Thanks to everyone who showed up. Thanks to all the people that responded to elly's email with nice things (sometime in Haiku!) to say about me. Thanks for honoring me with your thoughts. Everyone is awesome. Thanks most of all to my lovely miss elly for making it all happen, and keeping a straight face. I don't know how you did it, but you were amazing.

My day was really nice, even before the great party. There was sunshine in San Francisco, which was really the best thing Mother Nature could have possibly delivered for me! elly got up with me and we went to my favorite Noe Valley brunch to eat tasty things. I wandered the city, meeting nice people, managing resources, riding classic street cars (F-Market!), talking to nice friends in Niagra Falls, and parents at the right time on cell phones! I shopped, I bought a snazzy new shirt and I hung out in Union Square. It was quite peaceful.

THEN, when we called for a cab to go to Millenium, we got one of those snazy London Cabs that Luxor is driving around these days. It was aweseome! Drinks and foods were so yummy when we got there. I could wax poetic for days, and likely will, but I'll spare you all. :)

I'm pretty darned pleased. 30 ain't so bad after all.
