jet lag

hi! I'm in San Francisco! This is the second day in a row of sunny and warm! I can't believe it!

So much has happened since my last update, but suffice to say that I packed for burningman, packed for SF (and was a major stress case during both of those events), rented a few vehicles, got up really way too early, rode on a plane for 6 hours, and am now happily sitting in a sunny front room of a Mission apartment that is ours.

I'm having a really surreal experience by being here; everything seems eerily like it /should/ be, but everything is different. I'm so happy to be here with elly; I thought it would be so much weirder. Well, I take that back. I thought it would be weirder in different ways :). The weirdness is the normalcy of it all, I guess.

Yoko is here with us, and I can't believe that I lived my whole life without having a pet. The pure unconditional love that I have for that little white fluffy waking-me-up-in-the-morning beast is amazing.

Today, I hope to trade in my non-power-window-having-POS rental car, walk to many places, eat many tasty foods, and experience water. I solicit any and all SF requests, such as "boy, I really love eating crepes at Ti Couz, Oliver will you go eat there for me" and "gosh, I love going to the ocean; Oliver, will you go dip your toes in the Pacific for me?" text messages are best: pager (bat) oof.org.

now, coffeeeeee!
