all the things

hello gentle reader.

It is my last monday at work. It is raining in that vaguely depressing way, where it's not quite warm enough to be a hot summer rain, but not actually cold enough to qualify as gloomy. I forgot my umbrella at home, but wore a nice BRIGHT orange jacket that my dad gave me, keeping me mostly dry. But I've dried out and am eating a tasty salad now, so that's good.

My weekend was as good as it could possibly have been, and as bad as it could have possibly have been all at once. Personal vs work lives. elly came home to me on Saturday morning, which was phenomenal, and meant that there was lots of loving time in bed and around the house. I am particularily happy that Yoko came home too. There was about a 5 minute period when I thought she might stay in SF, but she came along, quickly becoming the most well travelled cat that I know. I got up early to buy her food this morning. yay. I never thought I'd love a cat so.

Work kind of sucked, with Friday (10pm -> 2am) and Saturday (10pm -> 3:30am, then 6:30am again) nights totally ruined, but it also served to remind me why I'm quitting my job. I'm pleased. It was a nice reinforcement.

I also went to go see Randy and hang out, and talk art. I'm in love with her stuff, and feel a particular connection to her & the Broome street studio because of the big fire that happened there last year, and my subsequent intervention. I'm considering buying a BIG piece of art, but I've never done it before, and I'm scared. Anyone got any advice?
