voting

Damn it feels good to be a voter. It really irks me when people complain about any aspect of politics, but haven't involved themselves in the process. I really wish I had the inclination/time to be more involved. I'd really like to work in a polling place, or some other "thankless" job that fundamentally supports the system.

Also today, I'm really getting into my book finally: The Unconsoled. I recommend it.

Travel plans are insanely up in the air. more news when it becomes clear. Less anxiety than expected.

UPDATE:

I am reminded by Liz that I have, in fact, worked in a voting booth before, and suffice to say, the powers that be shouldn't let me do it again, if they respect free and clear elections. heh.
